You can add "image info" (title, caption, and keyword) to each of your portfolio images during the initial upload process, or via the LIGHTBOX module once the files have been added to libraries.
FOR NEW FILES:
If you are uploading a new image into the EDIT CONTENT > UPLOAD IMAGES module, first drag it into a library of your choice on the right side of the page, then highlight the image once it's inside the library.
- Select the IMAGE TITLE / COMMENTS / KEYWORDS tab that appears to the right of this list to bring up a panel that allows you to input an image title, comments (caption), and keywords.
- When you have entered title and/or caption information for a portfolio image the IMAGE INFO button will appear on the front of the site for this particular image. Visitors can scroll over this button to view the information in a pop-up bar over the image.
- Data entered in the KEYWORDS panel is not visible to site visitors but is accessible for search engine crawlers and can aid in search engine optimization. For more information on SEO please find more detailed information and check out our search engine optimization webinar .
FOR EXISTING FILES:
If you'd like to add title, caption, or keyword information to files that you've already uploaded into the editSuite, you can click on the EDIT button after highlighting a portfolio/library image in the LIGHTBOX module to bring up a similar panel. In this area, you can input text for image info and keywords and also designate a border to appear around the image on the front of the site. To move from one image to another inside the EDIT panel, simply click on NEXT or PREVIOUS to navigate through the portfolio or library collection. Be sure to save your work when you're finished!

It would be really nice if there were a switch or checkbox to set the image title to be "always on" and then to have a choice to see more text information if desired.
-
Hi Robert,
We are able to set the image title information to always appear underneath the image area on our custom designed websites (see http://www.avedonfoundation.org/), and I've seen a few sites that also feature the standard 'image info' button in addition to this static text, so the caption info is still accessible when desired. This button can be renamed to 'more info' or 'caption' if you like.
This type of setup is not possible with our pre-designed website offerings, but if you'd like to get in touch with the Sales team to discuss custom design pricing and options, please feel free to do so here. -

Arlie, thank you for your reply. The image info button will only appear when you've entered info in the title and/or caption field for each particular image.

Is there anyway to copy all the fields (title, image notes, keywords) at once, to paste into a another image's edit fields?
-
-
the way to do this globally is my applying a metadata template to a batch of images in Bridge.

I added titles to my images and made them bold but once I saved them it doesn't look bolder. Any ideas? Thanks

hi all, I have recently bought the canon GPS receiver and have been using it on the last few shoots in Greenland and Iceland to tag the images. Does Livebooks have any way to represent this and if not does anyone else have the need to show this? I think it's a cool feature and adds more context plus with all the new cameras coming out now with built in gps I think you would be a very good addition.
Please let me know your thoughts.

GPS tagging.-
Andrei,
The editSuite doesn't read the GPS information from images at this time, but I will make sure to forward your request to our development team as a new feature idea. You can manually add any information to your image as the image title or description by following the instructions in the "official answer" above. -

Hello William,
As you can see in this forum post you have the ability of adding image title and description for the images that you have uploaded on your website. This can be done really easily from you lighbox module. Thank you! -

Thanks, Don
If you have entered the image information and saved your work but your are still not seeing the information on the site then 1 of these 2 things is happening: your browser loads the website from the cache and you are not seeing the changes you just made in the editSuite (clearing the browser cache and reloading the website will fix this); or the image info feature is disabled on your website. In this case you have contact our Support Team and one of our specialists will be happy to enable this option for your website. There is no fees involved for enabling/disabling the image info feature.
